I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but despite loving the overall appearance after installed, can only give it 3. First, the intstallation. I do all home improvements myself and have breezed through many ceiling fans, light fixtures, wall switches, etc. This was slightly more complicated due to the installation of the remote modules, but they were fairly straightforward and easy to figure out. However, trying to attach the crystal light frame was a nightmare. The instructions have you do that after you have installed the fan, remote modules and lights. With 2 people on a ladder, it was virtually impossible. Had to completely take the entire fan down, attach the fixture, then put the entire assembly back up and rewire it. That cost my rating 1 star. Second, there are absolutely no operating instructions whatsoever. It was only through trial and error and guesswork that I finally figured out how to change the color temperature on the light. Also, the warm color setting is not nearly as warm and somewhat amber as pictured. Additionally, each time you turn on the switch, the light automatically comes on at the brightest level and you have to use the remote to change the color temp every time you turn it on. Also, turning the switch on does not turn the fan on. You must use the remote each and every time. There is no memory to hold your last settings. Again, there are zero operation instructions included and you are on your own to figure it all out. They, despite having a domain for email, have no website where you might find info. And, am still trying to figure out how to wipe down the fan blades on both sides to keep them clean, as when the fan is turned off, you canonly wipe part of one side, but not the other and you can't have the blades extended, but not running to be able to clean. Having said all that, if you are willing to figure out the best way to install on your own and are willing to jump through all the hoops necessary to get to your preferred settings every time you turn it on, it is a really nice looking fan.almost done with complete renovation of my front room. There were no reviews of this light at the time but i went ahead because i liked the look. wow what a great decision. comes with a remote you can turn on and change color of the light with a press of a button. fan works on same remote. fan works great and hides itself when not in use. FYI we hard wired it because remote controls everything. I do not know if it will work with a dimmer. but than you can just change the color for a less white more warmer color if you want.I bought a second for my dining room area. the faux can lights are on dimmers.all i can say is go ahead they are great and i think they class the joint up a little.Damaged part dented canopy and bent says sturdy but definitely not , customer service was great thoughThis piece is absolutely beautiful. The dimensions are exact. Pretty quiet doesn't shake very secure. Please allow install and prepare time it's not very easy to put together. But we'll worth it!My husband and I are very pleased with our purchase. The chandelier makes the room look whimsical. I love it ?
